When we get the ink testing report, it usually shows the LAB value of the printed product. But what is LAB values means? I think many people can't understand it. Today we will popularize it for everyone.
L stands for black and white, which is brightness. When two inks are compared, one L value higher than the other one, indicating that it is brighter.Black ink has low brightness, White and yellow ink have high brightness.
A value represents red and green. A positive value indicates a reddish color. If it is negative, it means it is greener.
B value represents yellow-blue. A positive value indicates a yellowish color. If it is negative, it means it is bluer.
Generally, our customers use LAB testing results to adjust the ink formula to achieve a suitable effect for printing.
